10 Video Games You Need To Play Before You Die!

Welcome to the last part of Cullination's Apocalyptic Weekend!

10 video games you need to play before you die! (in no particular order)

1. Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

This is a classic game that everyone loves.  It is what started the huge 3-D "boom' in video games.  It is purhaps the greatest Legend of Zelda game and could be the greatest game ever made!  If you have not heard of this game then you have obviously been living under a rock all these years!  If you did not play this game before then you better play it as soon as you can because it is a classic.  Even if you have played it and beat it, then just play it again because I'm sure that you would agree that it is that kind of game when you just want to play it over and over again.

2.  Super Mario 64

Another classic of a game that helped launch the making of 3-D games.  In Super Mario 64 you played as Mario as you wander around Princess Peach's castle painting jumping in search of Bowser.  It really is an amazing game that everyone truly enjoys.

3.  Super Mario Galaxy 2

Ever since Nintendo released Super Mario 64, Nintendo started to release "sequels" on game consuls that came after the N64.   On the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo introduced the very first true sequel to one of those games.  Super Mario Galaxy 2 takes Mario in space as he jumps from planet to planet in search of his foe, Bowser.  The artwork and music in this game are simply amazing.

4.  Banjo Kazooie

In the 90's, Rare (a video game publisher) was on fire!  Thanks to Rare, Nintendo released classic game after classic game.  Banjo Kazooie was one of those games.  You control a honey bear with his bird friend as you collect puzzle pieces.  I know that doesn't sound like much fun, but trust me...it is a game you must play before you die!

5.  Metroid Prime Trilogy

These games were huge hits since the first Metroid Prime on Gamecube!  They were a first person shooter game as the player used Samus to shoot space pirates and a darker version of herself.  The games are so great that I decided to include all three of the games on this list!

6.  Chrono Trigger

This game was originally released for Super Nintendo System.  Even in today's standards of video games it is amazing!  The graphics were so good even for today (20 years later).  The story is one of the best out there and mind bottling!  This game has it all and is a must play!

7.  Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

The real sequel to Ocarina of Time.  This game is not as good as Ocarina of Time, but it is still considered one of the best Zelda games ever.  This game stole the heart of so many people after they watched that moon get bigger and bigger!  It has a huge place in my heart.

8.  Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

The most recent legend of Zelda game.  This is important to play before you die because it reveals the story of how Link's most dangerous foe comes to be!  The birth of Ganondorf!  This game is also so much fun to play, except for the tears in the silent realm!

9.  Luigi's Mansion

In all Mario games you always hear about Mario's brother.  Luigi always plays second fiddle to his brother.  You must play this game before you die because it switches things around a bit!  Now Luigi has to go and save Mario!  This is a pretty good game.  My only complaint is that it is too short of a great game.  Hopefully the soon to be released sequel will be a bit longer.

10.  Star Fox 64

Another great game released for the N64!  StarFox is the first really good game featuring the character, Fox McCloud.  This game was so good and memorable that Nintendo released a remake of the game for their Nintendo 3DS.  After playing the remake, it is still a great game and you need to play it before you die!

So how did you like the list?  Sound off in the comment section below to tell us!  We love fan feedback!  Hope you enjoyed our Apocalyptic Weekend and enjoy your holidays!

10 Comic Books You Need To Read Before You Die!

Welcome to the first part of Cullination's Apocalyptic Weekend!

10 Comic Books You Need To Read Before You Die! (in no particular order)

1.  Batman: Long Halloween

One of my all time favorite Batman graphic novels!  It's a story about mystery.  It starts on Halloween night, in which a murder takes place.  Since then, a murder occurs corresponding with different holidays.  The story covers Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, etc.  It is an amazing read and if you are a fan of Batman or comic books at all, you should definitely read this before you die!

2.  X-Men: Days of Future Past

One of the best X-Men stories out there (and soon to be a film in 2014).  It's a story mostly based around Wolverine and Kitty Pride.  They most join together to save the past by saving the future for all human and mutant kind!

3.  Amazing Spider-Man #121 (The Night Gwen Stacy Died)

The biggest turning point in comic book history.  Peter Parker has experienced a lot of heart break and tragedy in his life.  But none greater than when his love of his life died.  Many people believe that Gwen Stacy is Peter's true love instead of Mary Jane Watson.  It's a story that was so powerful that it changed comic books forever.  To this day, Gwen Stacy is the only person in comic books that remains dead.

4.  Death Of Spider-Man

Yes, when Gwen Stacy died it was very heart broken.  However, no greater death in Peter Parker's life was his own.  In Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man #156-160, Spider-Man gets caught in the middle of the Avengers vs. New Ultimates.  After countless amount of training to make Spider-Man a better hero, he ends up taking a bullet for Captain America.  After he was shot, he went on to battle the Sinister Six, led by Green Goblin.  In the end, Goblin kills Peter Parker.  This story arc actually made me feel a little tearful.  It was so sad.  Especially when I saw the page with Peter in heaven while his Uncle Ben says "You did alright, kid."

5.  Batman: Year One

Said to be the greatest Batman story ever written.  The story tells the tale of Batman's origin and the first few years of his career.  Though everyone knows his origin story, it is still a great read and highly enjoyable.

6.  Watchman

Batman: Year One is said to be the best Batman story ever written.  Watchman, however, is said to be the greatest graphic novel ever written!  A story about "racism" and a group of retired Super Heroes that try to solve the mystery of the death of one of their own.  Once I started reading this story, I could not put it down.

7.  Hush

After reading about Batman's origin story, how about reading Bruce Wayne's story?  Hush talks about Bruce Wayne's only friend while he was growing up.  It also introduces a new villain, Hush.  To this day, it also is one of my favorite Batman story and is very interesting.

8.  Iron Man: Demon In A Bottle

A great Iron Man story.  A comic that explains Tony's almost self destruction.  Tony Stark becomes an alcoholic and almost destroys himself.  One of the best Iron Man stories ever written!

9.  Batman: Death In The Family

The last Batman comic on this list, I swear!  The only hero with more heart break than Peter Parker is Bruce Wayne.  In this story, The Joker tricks Jason Todd (the second Robin) into traveingl to Lebanon in order to find his mother.  There, Joker kills Jason Todd with a crow bar.  It is a very powerful story after seeing Batman carrying a dead Jason Todd.  This memory in Batman's life haunts him for a very long time.  However, this story gets less powerful when Jason Todd comes back to life as the new Red Hood.

10.  Death of Superman

Another great and tragic death in the comic book world.  The death of Superman was like an end of an era, the end of the most legendary super hero ever!  A monstrous beast known as Doomsday terrorizes Metropolis and the only one that can stop him is Superman.  However, the fight eventually leads to Superman's death (obviously)

What did you think of this list?  Sound off in the comment section below to tell us and come back tomorrow as Cullination's Apocalyptic Weekend continues!

Poke-Focus #27: Luxray

Introduction

Luxray is one of my favorite electric type Pokemon!  In my opinion, he is the only good electric type in the fourth generation.  But that's okay because he is a total beast!  Sadly, Luxray has not gotten as much coverage and love as he should have.  Luxray is so powerful that he can almost match the power of almost any legendary Pokemon!

Capture/training
You can catch a Shinx fairly early in Platinum and Diamond on route 202.  If you want to skip the Shinx, then you can catch a Luxio in the Fuego Ironworks.
Shinx evolves at level 15, and Luxio evolves into Luxray at level 30.  This means that because he hits his final form some what early, it gives him more time to get even more powerful!  All of his evolutions stay as a pure electric type Pokemon.
Abilities
Luxray can have the ability of Intimidate.  This ability allows each opponent's attack stat to go down by one stage.
A Luxray can also have the ability of Rivalry.  This ability increases the base stat of Physical and Special Attacks by 25% if the opponent is the same gender.  However, it decreases the base stat by 25% if the opponent is the opposite gender.
Stats
HP:80  ATTACK:120  DEFENSE:79  S. ATTACK: 95  S. DEFENSE:79  SPEED:70
Very good stats for a non legendary!  His HP stat is pretty average as is his Defense and Special Defense stat.  Luxray's best weapon, however, is his attack stats.  His special attack is pretty good and above average, but his attack stat is almost through the roof!  Luxray's worst stat is definitely his speed.  But even his speed is not that bad.

Moves

Learning CHARGE early is beneficial.  It powers up electric type moves and increases Special Defense by 1 stage.  Shortly after he learns charge, he learns SPARK.  A somewhat powerful electric attack with power at 65 and accuracy at 100%.  Spark also has a 30% chance to paralyze the target.  Spark is also very good for Luxray because of his attack stat.

After Luxray learns spark, he learns BITE.  A very simple move that doesn't need much of an explanation.  It has a 60 power rating.  Later on, Luxray learns CRUNCH.  Crunch is a more powerful form of bite.  It has a power rating of 80.

Much later in Luxray's training, he learns more powerful electric attacks like DISCHARGE and WILD CHARGE .  Discharge is almost the same as spark.  The only difference is that discharge has an 80 power rating.  Wild Charge is just a little bit more powerful, however.  It has a 90 power rating.  But the bad thing about Wild Charge is that it causes 1/4 recoil damage to Luxray when he uses it.  Wild Charge is also a physical move making it a very good weapon for Luxray.

Movesets

1. The Electrician
-Charge
-Thunder Fang
-Discharge
-Wild Charge

A pretty good moveset pool if Luxray should be used as a pure electric type on your team.

2.  Attack Dog
-Crunch
-Thunder Fang
-Discharge
-Scary Face

3.  Dark Thunder
-Crunch
-Thunder
-Discharge
-Charge

A moveset in which you need to teach Luxray Thunder with a TM

Conclusion

Luxray is an extremely powerful electric type.  Almost any team would benefit greatly with him being there.  His attack stat is very high and makes him tough to battle him for long.  The goal when fighting a Luxray is not to win...it's to survive!

Cullination Royalty: Nightwing Part 2

Part 2: Why should you love him?

Dick Grayson!  Grayson was the very first Robin.  He was the one that started it all.  However, being the first Robin is not all good.  It made him wear the worst Robin outfit out of all the Robins after him.  But give the guy a break.  After all it was the 40's.  The fact of the matter is, Dick Grayson started the Robin trend.  No Dick Grayson, no Jason Todd, no Tim Drake, and so on.  Sure, being Robin was a huge part of his life.  But when Dick Grayson finally went solo, it was even better.

For some reason, Grayson likes to start his careers off with bad costumes.  Grayson's first Nightwing costume was god awful but it's just another reason why we love him so much.  Think about it.  Grayson actually had the courage to wear what he wore.  That takes guts, my friend.

Nightwing has a wide variety of acrobatic moves to his arsenal.  That makes Nightwing very interesting to read about while he is fighting.  Just in case he needs them, he also carries around two billy clubs.  Not only that, but Nightwing was trained by one of the best crime fighters out there.  He was trained by The Dark Knight himself, Batman!  That also makes Dick Grayson a little on the dark side and makes him a little more interesting.

So how about Grayson's love life?  Grayson has been seen with many different females in his career.  One of which is Barbara Gordan.  Barbara is a very bright and intelligent young lady.  If she thinks Grayson is one of the best then that just means he must be!

POKE-FOCUS #26: LAPRAS

Firstly, allow me to say that I am not the original writer of Poke-Focus, Joe.  Because Joe has been busy lately he is letting me try to write Poke-Focus.  So please forgive me if this edition of Poke-Focus is not as detailed or as good as it usually is.  Thank you.

INTRODUCTION

Lapras has been in the Pokemon world since the beginning.  Since then, Lapras has been one of the strongest water and ice type Pokemon ever created.  Lapras is known as the transport pokemon because Lapras is usually seen carrying some people on its back.

CAPTURE/TRAINING

In most games, Lapras is a gift.  You can get one in places like Silph Co. in Saffron City and in Union Cave on Fridays in second generation games.  In games where he is not a gift, Lapras is extremely rare.  There is a 1% chance to find one in Icefall Cave (Fire Red and Leaf Green) and a 10% chance of finding one in Victory Road (Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum).  Once a Lapras has been acquired, it can be a little difficult to train.  But it is completely worth training this behemoth of a sea monster!

STATS

130 HP, 85 Atk, 80 Def, 85 SpA, 95 SpD, 60 Spe

Dat Shell.
Very good stats!  Lapras has one of the best HP's in the game.  His attack is great for dealing out damage and his special attack is even better!  Same goes for its defense stats!  Lapras knows how to take a hit especially from special attack moves.  Now, not everyone is perfect and Lapras is no exception.  Lapras is a great Pokemon to have on your team, but if you're looking for all fast Pokemon, Lapras is not for you.  His speed stat is not that great being only at 60.

ABILITIES

Lapras is capable of having a few different abilities.  Firstly, Lapras can have the ability of "water absorb".  With this ability, Lapras absorbs water type moves and regains some HP.  Lapras can gain up to 25% of HP with this ability.

Shell armor does not allow critical hits to hit him.  This is especially good because there are so many times when your Pokemon would faint just because of a critical hit.  Lastly, Lapras can know "Hydration".  This ability allows Lapras to recover from any status effect like poison, burn, paralysis, sleep, and freeze at the end of the turn.  This ability only works if it is raining during the battle.  So, if you want Lapras to use this ability (if it has it) teach it Rain Dance.

MOVES

Lapras learns quite a few ice and water type moves.  WATER PULSE is the first powerful water type move Lapras learns on its own.  60% power is not too bad and 100% accuracy is really good.  Plus this move has a 20% chance to confuse the targeted Pokemon.

ICE BEAM is the first powerful ice type move Lapras learns on its own.  95% power makes it an ice move most enemies want to avoid and with 100% accuracy rating makes it a great ice attack.  It also has a 10% chance to freeze the target.

RAIN DANCE is a water move that most people would want their Lapras to learn.  It decreases fire attack moves by 50% and increases water attack moves by 50%.  It also decreases the power of healing moves such as Morning Sun, Synthesis, and Moon Light.  The downside of teaching your Lapras rain dance is that the move Thunder never misses, which is super effective against Lapras.

Everyone knows the move HYDRO PUMP.  It is the most powerful water attack Lapras learns at level 49.  120% attack power means a lot of damage to the enemy!  Though it has 80% accuracing rating, that is not so bad.  It could be a lot worse.

Not much to say about SHEER COLD.  It is an ice type move that Lapras learns at level 55.  It does have a 30% accuracy rating, but if it does hit the enemy it is a one hit KO.  This move does not work if the targeted Pokemon is a higher level than Lapras.  PERISH SONG is another good move for a quick KO.  After it is used, everyone Pokemon on the field that heard the song will faint in three turns.  A way to keep your Lapras alive is to switch your Pokemon out in less than three turns.  It's good to use this move if your opponent only has one Pokemon left and that one Pokemon is being difficult to defeat.

EFFECTIVE MOVESETS

1. CRY ME A RIVER

-Rain Dance
-Water Pulse
-Brine
-Hydro Pump

If you already have a strong ice type pokemon on your team and you really want Lapras to just be a water type, this is the way to go.  A full on water type moveset.

2. ICE TO MEET YOU

-Mist
-Ice Beam
-Ice Shard
-Sheer Cold

3. KO

-Sheer Cold
-Hydro Pump
-Perish Song
-Ice Beam

If you really want Lapras to be just a beast and protect your other Pokemon, this is a good moveset to use.

4. A LIL' BIT OF EVERYTHING
-Body Slam
-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
-Sheer Cold

CONCLUSION

Lapras is definitely one of the best water/ice type Pokemon around!  Though they are not much for speed they are a threat to not take lightly.  A Lapras would be a great addition to anyone's team!

Cullination Royalty: Nightwing Part 1

NIGHTWING

PART 1: A BRIEF BIO ABOUT THE CHARACTER

Nightwing has been the name of many different people in the DC comic book universe.  But we are going to talk about the most well know Nightwing.  His real name is Richard (Dick) Grayson.  He was first famous for being the very first Robin making his appearance in 1984.  Of course he was Batman's side kick and together they were called "the dynamic duo", but eventually everything comes to an end.  Their team was no different.  After having a bit of a misunderstanding, Dick Grayson decided to leave Batman and go solo.
Albeit, Nightwing's first costume is not very good.  Maybe that's why he is still underrated today.  First impressions are important after all.  His costume made him look a little flamboyant and like he should be a punching bag rather than saving anyone.  Even I have trouble looking at Dick Grayson while he's wearing that costume.  That's exactly the reason why I feel like I must always say his last name in this article.
In 1995, DC started to publish a miniseries of Nightwing.  That series is still going on today, obviously not as a miniseries.  Nightwing has made a few appearances in Batman comics.  For instance, Nightwing appearred in the famous Knight Fall story line.  Nightwing has even made a few appearances in video games.  He is a playable character in the newest Batman title Arkham City.
Dick Grayson has been through a lot in his career of being a superhero.  He still gets treated like a no body in the DC universe.  He gets over shadowed by his mentor, "The Dark Knight."  Now I'm not saying that Batman is overrated, I love Batman.  I'm just saying that Dick Grayson as Nightwing deserves a lot more love than he gets.

Come back on Tuesday as Nightwing's Cullination Royalty continues!

Cullination Corruption: Sonic Part 2

Part 2: Why you should hate him.

Sonic, Sonic, Sonic everywhere!  The video game industry and SEGA has been trying to jam Sonic the Hedgehog down our throats since 1991!  In the beginning, most people loved Sonic and he was a huge phenomenon!  He could easily compete against Mario and Pac-Man!  But when video games started to get more advanced and more 3-D, Sonic fell behind.  In fact, Sonic fell way way behind!

I know a few people that love Sonic and they really appreciate him.  I am, however, completely sick of this blue hedgehog!  When will SEGA learn that enough is enough!  Sonic needs to take a break from the fans!  Better yet, the fans (or shall I say "fan") need a break from Sonic!

When Nintendo started to get really good at 3-D games with Mario, SEGA tried their hand at it with Sonic.  A couple of the titles are pretty good like Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic Adventures DX.  But Sonic has had many more failures than successes.  Anyone remember that game where he wields a sword?  Or how about when he turns into a werewolf?  Yeah, it's bad.

NO, SONIC, NO!!! : (

Sonic the Hedgehog has been around for over twenty years.  Recently, SEGA realized that his games suck so much that they put him in his original envirnment of 2-D platforming games.  My advise, Sonic?  Stay where you are.  Everyone knows that when you are put into a world similar like Mario's it just doesn't work.  Stay in your woods.  Stay in your 2-D platforms with spring jumps and evil wasps and crabs.  Sonic, you just suck.
YES, SONIC, YES!!! : )

Cullination Corruption: Sonic Part 1

Welcome to the brand new series on Cullination Corner!  Cullination Presents Cullination Corruption!  The spin-off series of Cullination Royalty where we discuss overrated characters!  Enjoy!

 SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

Part 1: A brief bio of the character

Everyone knows who this guy is!  If you don't then you better get your head out from under that rock or go try to discover fire somewhere.  Sonic first appeared in a cameo role in the arcade game Rad Mobile for Sega in 1991.  His cameo appearance did not try to see how fans would react to such a character, rather they just tried to kind of foreshadow a game that was coming.  Sonic soon starred in his own game the same year.  The game was titled after the soon to be overrated star, Sonic The Hedgehog.  Like I said earlier, everyone is very familiar with Sonic games.  You usually take control of Sonic and you run really really fast!  As you do so you try to collect these golden rings that are used as "life points" while trying to avoid dangerous woodland creatures.

Dr. Robotnik is usually the antagonist in the Sonic series of games.  He is basically a mad scientist that wants to take over the world by collecting Chaos Emeralds.  But somehow this annoying, blue body, speedster of a hedgehog always destroys Robotnik's machines.  However, Sonic is not alone.  He usually has some help from his friends, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and more.

Sonic has been in many games since his first appearance over twenty years ago.  Some games are pretty good, while others are just awful!  Sonic gets his face in the spot light way too much.  Most people are completely sick of him hogging all of the spot light.

So, how do you like this new series?  Sound off in the comment section below this article and also come back on Wednesday as Sonic's Cullination Corruption continues.

Cullination Royalty: Lanky Kong Part 3

Part 3: A suggested game/story to make him more popular.

Lanky Kong has always been characterized as the "goofy one" in the Kong family.  Because of this, most people do not take him seriously.  But that's okay.  Why is that okay?  It's okay because in most games (especially Nintendo games) comedy plays a major role and it's what makes a game successful.   Just look at the Paper Mario series.  Sure, those are great games but comedy plays a big role and it's what helps the series be a little bit more successful.  So, what must Lanky Kong do to be more successful?  Well just scroll down and find out!  But not too far done because you just might miss it!

Lanky Kong should take the "Super Mario Sunshine Approach".  In Super Mario Sunshine, Mario travels by plane to another world.  The world of Delfino.  Inhabited by new creatures and new friends.  I say in order for Lanky Kong to be successful he must travel.  Now, I'm not saying for Lanky Kong to go to Delfino, but I am saying for him to go somewhere with new creatures.

STORY
Lanky Kong gets a mysterious letter in the mail with no return address!  The letter talks about a golden banana that is deep in the Amazon.  The letter tells him to bring a friend and so he chooses Donkey Kong.  When they go out to this mysterious place, Donkey Kong gets kidnapped!  Dum Dum Dum Duuuum!  Lanky Kong then goes out to find his buddy and the Golden Banana!  Along the way, Lanky Kong finds various villages with all new creatures never before seen.  Some are evil and some are good.  Lanky Kong must complete different missions to find a piece of a map that will eventually lead him to this Golden Banana and Lanky hopes that he'll find DK with it.  In the end, Lanky finds the Golden Banana and DK!  But who has both of them?  King K. Rool of course!  King K. Rool is the one to send that mysterious letter and set a trap for Lanky and Donkey Kong!  Lanky then battles and defeats King K. Rool and saves the day!....and gets a tasty Golden Banana!

SO WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THIS EDITION OF CULLINATION ROYALTY?  SOUND OFF IN THE COMMENT SECTION TO LET US KNOW!  AND ALSO, THERE WILL NOT BE A NEW ROYALTY ON SUNDAY.  THAT IS BECAUSE ROYALTY WILL NOW BE EVERY OTHER WEEK.  AND EVERY WEEK, THERE WILL BE A NEW POLL FOR THE FANS TO DECIDE ON THE NEXT CHARACTER.  IF YOU HAVEN'T VOTED FOR THE NOVEMBER 18TH EDITION OF ROYALTY YET...PLEASE DO SO NOW!

Cullination Royalty: Lanky Kong Part 2

Part 2: Why you should love him

Lanky Kong has not been in many games since his debut.  In fact, since Donkey Kong 64 he has only been a playable character in one more game.  In those games, however, I believe that Lanky Kong has made an impact in the Donkey Kong Universe.  Lets look at his accomplishments and his powers.

In Donkey Kong 64 Lanky Kong had quite a few helpful abilities.  For an example, he was able to climb very steep hills by doing a hand stand (which is a pretty cool sight to see).  He could also run really really super fast while he was on his hands!  BUT...that's not all!  Lanky Kong could also blow him self up like a balloon and fly a short distance.  That's all pretty cool and very helpful in the game.  In Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, Lanky Kong had a super cool set of blue bangos that was used as a jet pack!

Not only was Lanky Kong powerful, he was also comical.  That is important in a game.  It makes things a bit interesting if there is a character that is a little goofy and funny.  Lanky Kong fits that role perfectly.  I mean, just look at what he looks like!

Cullination Corruption!

That's right!  Starting next Monday (November 12) a brand spanking new series is coming to Cullination Corner!  What's this series about?  Well, it's basically a spin-off series of the popular Cullination Royalty!  In Cullination Corruption we discuss characters from video games and comic books that are overrated!  Characters that most people despise and had enough of!  This series is also going to have 2 articles a week.  The format is going to be like this:

Monday: Brief Bio about the character
Thursday:  Why you should hate him

Come back on Monday to see the very first character featured in Cullination Corruption!  If you have any questions or concerns email me: shawn@cullination.net

Cullination Royalty: Lanky Kong Part 1

That is correct!  NO, that is not a type-o and NO, you read that correctly!  The goofy orangutan is here on Cullination Royalty!
This guy first appeared in the very popular game Donkey Kong 64.  Since his appearance, Lanky has only made few appearances in games.  Being only a playable character in Donkey Kong Barrel Blast and making cameo appearances in Donkey Kong Country 3 (for game boy advance) and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.  It's almost like Nintendo does not take this silly orangutan seriously.  How can you not take him seriously with a face like that?!?!

In his first appearance, Lanky Kong had a few abilities.  While standing on his hands he was able to climb steep slopes and run really fast! He could also inflate like a balloon and fly a short distance.  I think those abilities are pretty cool.  I wish I could inflate like a balloon and fly.  But we all can't be as lucky as Lanky Kong.

Come back on Tuesday as Lanky Kong's Cullination Royalty continues!

Cullination Royalty: Crash Bandicoot Part 3

Part 3: A suggested story/game to make them more popular.

Crash Bandicoot has been around the gaming world since 1996.  Since then, he has become very popular.  But eventually everyone starts going down hill.  Crash Bandicoot started going down hill pretty quickly.  He started doing racing games and other stupid games.  To make Crash Bandicoot more popular and to make his "come back" I think there are two different approaches that Sony could take.

1.  Go Back To His Roots

Crash Bandicoot is not the only character that started going down hill.  Sonic The Hedgehog also started going down hill when gaming got too advanced for the speedster.  Sonic started appearing in games that turned him into a wear wolf and another game where he wields a swords.  These kinds of games are interesting but they do not work for a character like Sonic.  So a few years ago, they released a game in which Sonic went back to his old school platforming days.  I guess they finally realized that's when Sonic was at his best.  The game got great reviews by critics and by fans.  So naturally, that's what Crash Bandicoot needs to do.  He needs to stop with these racing games and go back to his old ways.  Go back to  his platforming days and he will shine!

2.  Mario 64 Style

The other option for Crash is to take a chance and see how he plays out the same why Mario did.  Mario was always known to be a plumber in a platform game world.  In Super Mario 64, Nintendo took a huge chance and saw if Mario could survive in the 3-D world.  They took away his platform heritage and see if he could sink or swim.  I believe that Sony should do the same with Crash Bandicoot.  I think that Crash could really succeed in a more 3-D world.  He could stop the evil Cortex and save the day!

So how did you like this edition of royalty?  Sound off in the comment section below to tell us!  Come back on Sunday to see who the next character in Cullination Royalty is!
