Characters 1-on-1: Octorok vs. Blooper

OCTOROK                                                            VS.                                              BLOOPER

LETS TAKE A LOOK AT THESE CHARACTERS

OCTOROK:

Octorok's first appeared in the very first Legend Of Zelda game in 1987.  Since then, Octorok's have made an appearance in almost every Legend Of Zelda game.  In my opinion, Octorok's are "big fat meanie heads".  This is because they just love to shoot you with projectiles (usually rocks) as you walk by.  You don't even have to do anything to get them angry....they just attack!

Though Octorok's can be a bit of a handful, you can kill them in various colors (and by various I mean only two).  In earlier games, they could be either red or blue colored.  The blue color Octorok's are a little more dangerous because they take two hits to be killed with Link's wooden sword rather than one hit.

Octorok's usually appear on land, but they are often found in the water as well.  Though these guys can be a bit annoying they are a basic enemy of Link's and are pretty easy to defeat.

BLOOPER:

If Characters 1-on-1 was about who was the most annoying, Blooper would win.  They first appeared in Super Mario Bros. in 1985.  Obviously, they are squid-like creatures that are found in the ocean or water areas.  Since its appearance, Blooper has been in many other Mario style games including games like Mario Kart and Mario Party.  Blooper's do not have much of an attack rather than being annoying and shooting ink at you.  However, in the game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Blooper is able to burrow its way through the ground and shoot energy beams at Mario.  I hate when a squid shoots me with energy beams, but that's just me.
Blooper can usually be defeated by jumping on their head or by fire balls.  Though the most common Blooper is a white colored squid, there are many different kinds of Bloopers.  You have the Baby Blooper, Blooper Nanny, Glad Blooper, Jumping Blooper, Mecha-Blooper, Dried Blooper, Bubble Blooper, and among many others!

CHARACTERS TOE-2-TOE

So who would win?  Octorok or Blooper?  Well lets see.  Firstly, Octorok's usually are in a small group.  Think about it, when was the last time you were playing a Zelda game and you only saw one Octorok in an area?  I can't think of any moment, which means they like traveling in a small group.  However, Bloopers are often seen one at a time.  Sometimes you do see more than one Blooper but not often.  Which means that when they are seen together it is purely coincidental.  Octorok 1, Blooper 0

How about their attacks?  Lets talk about the more traditional versions.  Octorok's shoot rocks and Blooper's shoot ink.  I would say that if an Octorock shot at a Blooper with a rock and the Blooper shot at the Octorok with ink at the same time, the ink would travel faster than the rock because of weight.  In addition to that the ink is strong enough to send the rock back at the Octorok thus killing it.  Octorok 1, Blooper 1

Now lets talk environment.  Most Octorok's are found on land.  Most Blooper's are found in the sea.  This leaves Blooper with a huge advantage.  This is because Octorok has no place to hide and always has to watch his back.  Blooper on the other hand has the entire ocean.  If Octorok shoots a rock at Blooper, Blooper can just go under water and hide and then shoot Octorok when he isn't expecting it.  Octorok 1, Blooper 2.
