THIS WEEK IN CULLINATION (9/16-9/23)

GREETINGS FROM CULLINATION!

Last week was a torturous one for us, as we were hit wth a hacker issue. A lot of the content throughout our sites were wiped clean, and we have been scrambling through most of the week to get it back to what it was. Thankfully, Shawn and I have worked diligently to get most of our sites back up and running. Things look a little different around here, but we're still the same old Cullination you've come to know and love (or hate).

However, this process is not complete. If you cannot find what you are looking for or are having difficulties navigating our sites because of the changes, please let us know using the Support tab (which is definitely still working!).

Unfortunately, this caused Youtube to not be updated throughout the week as planned. This weekend and leading up through Monday, we plan on making up for lost time with a gammet of 4-5 videos being released one after another. Plan on seeing updates for all three games by no later than Tuesday.

Cullination Corner was the first site to be recovered from the deletions, and we were able to keep up with most of the plans that we had for the week, and even go beyond that to make up for the lack of content being released elsewhere.

We began the week with a report indicating that Nintendo Power magazine is ceasing production. After over two decades, it sure had a fantastic run, and we will surely be sad to see its reign come to an end.

Coolest magazine ever. It will be missed.

On Sunday we released a review for Super Mario Sunshine, which was without a doubt the best title in the Mario franchise released for the Gamecube. Many an hour we spent cleaning up Delfino and chasing our imposter, only to find Bowser and his evil sun were behind the setup plot.

These guys always looked cooler than stars anyway!

Monday saw the release of our anticipated new segment, Cullination Comics! Since its release, we've been flooded with entries of comics and memes to be featured in our newest fan-run series. Yesterday we posted an update featuring some of our favorites. Keep an eye out for yours to be coming up in future updates if you sent us content that hasn't been featured yet, and make sure to keep sending in your comics and memes!

Here's one of our favorites from the first submissions:

Star Fox 64 and Green Lanturn: Rebirth were the featured video game and comic book of the week, released on Tuesday. For me, Star Fox 64 has to be my most beaten game ever, as I remember all to clearly beating the game upwards of 10 times per weekend as a child. Awesome game, but short as hell!

Lots of shooting, not a lot of story mode time.

Last night we released a few miscellaneous articles, one outlining Gamestop's recent choice to remove everything PS2 from their stores completely, and the other taking a closer look into the Wii U and all of the details released in Nintendo's attention grabbing September 13th press conference.

Yep, they finally released some details.

Finally, earlier today Poke-Focus #21 was released. If you're like us, you're curious as to whether or not Gamefreak truly made Lugia and his rainbow-winged counterpart true equals, or if one has a slight edge over the other. In this special edition of Poke-Focus, we break down the strengths and weaknesses of Lugia and see how he matches up with Ho-Oh.

Who doesn't love glowing eyes?

Coming up this week around Cullination, we have a lot of new articles in the works to be released in addition to the marathon uploading of our walkthroughs on Youtube.

Another edition of Video Game and Comic Book of the Week will be coming your way in the middle part of the week, as well as a review of another Gamecube favorite, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Being a doggy has never been so involuntary.

This week, we will be covering all three Kanto starters in a special string of three Poke-Focus articles. If you are a Gen 1 fanboy, you have a lot to look forward to as we compare and contrast Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise throughout the week.

Threesome! Alright not really.
An update to Cullination Comics as well as one or two miscellaneous articles are likely to be on the way as well, though that may be pushing it considering everything else going on for now. If anything has caught your eye, check the archive in the right column to find an article, or search using our handy dandy new search bar!

Stay connected with us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates regarding all of our articles, videos, and series.

Enjoy the week!

WE ARE...CULLINATION!
