THIS WEEK IN CULLINATION (9/24-10/01)

GREETINGS FROM CULLINATION!

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! The weekend may be over, but we have a fresh new week of updates, articles, comics, and videos for you!

The past two weeks have been erratic here at Cullination. Two weeks ago we were hacked and lost a lot of data and were set behind. This past week, we have been playing catch up - especially on Youtube. At last, we are finally all caught up!

What does that mean for you? Well, let's begin with a recap of the week and we'll work up to that.

The main feature on the blog this past week was our coverage of the Kanto starters in three consecutive Poke-Focus articles. We've gotten some great reception on it so far and based on your recommendations, we will be doing another week like this coming up in the near future. Not this week, though!

Anyone else wondering why Charizard isn't in the middle?

In the Video Game and Comic Book of the Week section, Batman: Year One was chosen for the comic, and Pokemon Red and Blue were the games chosen. Remember the good old days when Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow was the only thing you wanted to do? It still is? We feel ya on that one.

If you remember these games, we love you. No seriously.

On Thursday we had another update of featured comics sent in to us by all of you. There were some really good ones in there! Here's one of our personal favorites this week:

And neither do we.

Keep 'em coming guys!

Earlier in the week we released a review for the Gamecube/Wii classic, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Easily one of the best games in history, Twilight Princess almost lives up to the eternal greatness of the Ocarina of Time. Almost.

I mean, you get to joust big fat goblin things.
Speaking of the Ocarina of Time, the theme song made the top of our list of Top 10 Video Game Tracks of All Time released at the beginning of last week. Kudos to Shawn on his compilation, he put together a great list!

On the Youtube scene, HeartGold Part 35 was released, in which we begin our journey from New Bark Town towards the Elite Four, battling numerous trainers along the way. LeafGreen Parts 11 and 12 were both released in the middle of the week, in which we reached Lavender Town, did some exploring, ventured to Celadon City, and added a new teammate!

Here's a look at Part 12 of LeafGreen and the addition of our newest buddy!

Lastly, Part 3 of Pokemon Colosseum's Epilogue series was updated late last night. In this new episode, we investigate reports of an old foe in a dashing red outfit being spotted sporting his trusty Shadow Quilava. The reports lead us back to the mysterious lab facility in the middle of the desert, which we find to be infested with Cipher goons!

Here's Colosseum Epilogue: Part 3. Oh yeah, and we go UNDERGROUND!

Make sure to check out the archive on the right to check out all of the articles that went out last week! But what about the new week?

We have several miscellaneous articles planned for release coming up. Shawn has some pretty amazing ideas, but we aren't going to give them away just yet! We also have a new featured video game and comic as always, and an update for Cullination Comics. Characters 1 on 1 will be making its Cullination Corner return soon as well. Keep a watch on our Twitter updates for more info as its release gets closer.

Poke-Focus will be making a return this week, with a feature on Togekiss! Despite his cute looks, we're going to tell you why Togekiss can be one of the most dangerous Flying-types ever!

Looks absolutely nothing like Togepi, but he's, like, a gazillion times better
In more surprising news, we will be releasing a small new series, which will act as a somewhat of a Poke-Focus spin-off. We're aiming to feature all 17 Pokemon types to show you the ups, the downs, advantages, disadvantages, and secrets you may not know. The series will be called Poke-Types!

This short series will run for 17 installments (one for each type), and then serve as a mini-encyclopedia after it reaches its end. Pokemon lovers can always revisit our site and check all of the info on every type, as well as cross-check specific Pokemon species through Poke-Focus. You will never be short on info, and even more importantly, you will never lose to your little brother again.

First up, we're featuring the most popular type since '94 (in Gamefreak's eyes that is), Water!

On Youtube we have a new episode of the Pokemon Colosseum Epilogue in the production process as we speak, in which a confrontation with Rosso is inevitable. We also have two HeartGold episodes and two LeafGreen episodes ready for launch this week as well!

Coming up in the next few weeks, Characters 1 on 1 will make its return to Youtube. Stay tuned for more details on a release date and what characters will be featured!

That's it for this time folks. Enjoy the week!

WE ARE...CULLINATION!
