The Story
Sonic gets captured by Dr. Eggman! The Doc also gives sonic a deadly poison that will kill him! Therefore, it is up to Knuckles the Echindna to save Sonic and stop Dr. Eggman! In the final level (in Eggman's castle) before Knuckles fights Dr. Eggman, Sonic turns evil. This is because the poison Eggman gave him wasn't a life threatening poison at all! It was a poison to turn him evil and he attacks Knuckles! Therefore, one of the final bosses is Sonic! After you defeat Sonic, Eggman takes Sonic to a deeper part of the castle. When you find them, Sonic is attached to electrical zappers that shocks Sonic! You must defeat Dr. Eggman before Sonic runs out of health!
Game Play
Because Sonic games are usually only good with 2-D platformer games, this game will go back to traditional 2-D side scrolling game that we all love! Except when you get to the end of the level, the game changes into a 3-D game with free roaming as you fight the level boss. In addition to that, because Knuckles is more of a strength character rather than a speedster, sometimes you have to destroy blocks or boulders that are in your path. Sometimes these can reveal treasure or something to help you out in you journey to find Sonic!
